Changes Proposed to Lyme Green and Rural Wards Boundaries
You may be aware that Cheshire East Council has been doing a Community Governance review of town and parish council governance.
The proposal affects Sutton Parish (Lyme Green, Langley, Sutton Lane Ends and Rural Sutton) and could result in the re-drawing of boundaries, changes to the number of councillors, the
re-grouping of Wards and the absorption of two Wards into another.
Cheshire East Council recently met to consider commencing a full consultation upon initial draft proposals for town and parish council governance. The Council approved the commencement of the consultation process, which will have a duration of 12 weeks.
We have been told that some preparatory work needs to take place before the consultation can begin. As soon as the consultation has formally commenced, we will be informed.
For more information on the draft proposal which has been developed by Cheshire East Council please take a look at the link below and take a look at the Community Governance Review -Formal Draft Proposal document.
The Parish Council wants to gather the views of the local community that we can use when it comes to developing this matter forward.
Please fill in the form below so we can begin to collate opinions, thoughts and views which we will need to present to East Cheshire Council.
Let the Parish Council know your View
